Abstract

The media have a great influence on society. As is known, in the late 19th – early 20th centuries, obtaining permission to publish newspapers and magazines in the Tatar language was a long and difficult process, since the influence of the media on the population was of concern to the tsarist government. And today, the media play a very important role in society, it is even called the fourth branch of government.

Despite the fact that in recent years more and more attention has been paid to electronic materials, printed publications continue their work. Today, newspapers and magazines on a variety of topics are published in the republic.

The subject matter of newspapers and magazines is very diverse. They can be divided by age category: age: for children, teenagers, adults; by thematic diversity: politics, religion, culture, school, family, etc. Therefore, in order for newspapers and magazines to arouse interest in the reader, they must be of high quality both “externally” and “internally”. A newspaper can gather its audience only if its language is accurate, understandable to everyone, attractive and complies with all literary standards.
